Therapy Intensives
Therapy intensives are specialized, extended 3-5 hour sessions for individual clients or co-parents that want to have additional time to work towards resolution of a treatment goal. The extended sessions allow breaks as needed and can be done as a single session or in sequential days. Therapy intensives can be particularly helpful for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) clients who prefer to move through reprocessing a trauma memory outside the constraints of standard 50 minute sessions. They are also helpful for co-parents looking to work through initial or updated parenting plans without the tension or rates of opposing attorneys.

My goal in working with co-parents in this setting is to help them consider the current and anticipated needs of their child(ren) and collaboratively identify the parenting schedule and practices that will best support the wellbeing of each child. A consultation call and at least one standard 50 minute session are required before collaboratively deciding if a therapy intensive is a good fit. You can read more information about EMDR here.
